want to succeed in life?

Sometimes we hear people say that life sucks. I don’t believe them because it’s like saying that God doesn’t care or God doesn’t exist. It’s all about dealing with anything that comes along our way. It may not be that easy but for sure something in life makes our living worth while. That’s why when I read an entry in a blog about “Want to succeed in life? Then sharpen up your poker skill”, I realized that there are still people who write about how they appreciate life.

Neil Patel, who owns the blog said that life is like a poker game. For you to win in a poker game, you should be a skilled player. Just like in life, you should use strategies to get along with it and be able to deal with it with flying colors.

One strategy that Neil pointed out in his blog is having the poker face. You should not let your opponent know what you are thinking or what would be your next move. With this, you have the possibility to win the game. Just like in life, you should not let your enemies know what you are thinking of and what would be your next moves because you are most likely to fail or be defeated.

In addition, Neil also mentioned “Look for tell signs”. This means that you observe your opponents because sometimes their face or their moves tells you ahead if you will win or not. Just like in life, observe others so that you will know them better and that you will know what your future will be.

Lastly, Neil also stated “Use your head.” This is the most important strategy every poker player should use. One should pay attention to every game, every player, every bet and every card. Use your head. Think about the experience you had before playing poker and take note of the best and mistake moves you had. With these, you will know what to do or not to do in the next game. Same with life, consider your experiences as your best teacher about life for such will tell you if you do something wrong or something good. Your experiences in the past will tell you what to do at present or in the future. For everything happens repeatedly in life and the next time you encounter what you experience before you already know what to do.
